What Kirrby Studio holds, and why
Short version: your survey answers, your email address, and what Kirrby Studio reads from your public website. Nothing else, and nothing sold.
What Kirrby Studio collects
The answers you type into the survey, including the web address of the site you run today and your email address. When you buy, Kirrby Studio also holds what you share during handover: your domain name and the details you want on the finished site.
If you write in through the contact page, Kirrby Studio keeps your name, your email address and what you wrote. It is kept so a message is never lost to a failed email, it is read by nobody but Kirrby Studio, and it is used only to answer you.
What Kirrby Studio reads from your website
Kirrby Studio fetches the public pages at the address you give, exactly as a visitor's browser would, and stores what it reads so the report can show you its receipts. Kirrby Studio never asks for a login to your site, never signs in to it, and never changes it.
What Kirrby Studio does with your email address
I send you your report, and (if you said yes to hearing about the mock) I tell you when it's ready to look at. Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately.
Your public share link
Your report comes with a link anyone can open without signing in. That is deliberate, so you can send it to a partner or an accountant. Only people you give the link to can find it, and you can switch it off at any time from your account.
Having it deleted
Ask and I will delete your survey, your report and your account. Write to privacy@kirrbystudio.com and it will be done.
If you become a client
After your plan ends, I keep your files and data for twelve months as a courtesy, in case you want a copy or come back, then email you and delete them thirty days later. You can ask for a copy, or ask me to delete sooner, at any time.
The record of what you accepted when you signed is kept separately, for as long as you're a client and six years after.
Information your site collects from your visitors is yours. I use it only to run your site, and never sell it. I protect it with safeguards suited to my size.
If your data may have been exposed, I tell you as soon as I know, with what happened and what I am doing about it, and I give you what you need to tell your own customers.
